These Clouds are Insane!
What a beautiful day. I have to say I didn’t even realize how beautiful the clouds were until I opened this photo. I wasn’t in the moment. I was so happy to have my drone with me and be able to get some video while on my run that I didn’t even notice. I simply clicked the picture and moved on. It’s been awhile since I’ve focused on photography or video so I was so pumped that I got away from what I know.
I guess it was the excitement of combining my two passions of photography/videography and running. I’m not sure I have ever fully combined them together. I always try and take nice pictures on my runs but that is sort of a by product of being in amazing places. Today I was focused on getting some beautiful photos and video with the drone….not necessarily with my phone (I’ll probably post these on my Instagram account in the coming days @blacktoejack). The cover photo was a quick snap.
Anyway, that is not what I was here to write about but I couldn’t help it when I saw those clouds. The run today was good. I felt a bit sluggish but nothing too crazy. The break in the middle to fly the bird was a bit weird. I spent about 10 minutes in the air which was enough to bring my heart rate back down and stop my sweating. Getting back going was a bit weird….it almost felt like two runs. I will see how that goes in the future.
I also tweaked something in my calf/achilles. It wasn’t crazy painful but was definitely nagging. It kinda felt like a strain…..even though I don’t really know what a strain feels like. I don’t think it is anything major as I was able to run through it. Time will tell.
Finally, I saw that same group of geese from yesterday. This time they were about a mile further down the trail near the lake. The trail at that part was pretty wide so I went way far to the outside to give them room and hopefully not feel threatened as a came to a walk to pass. That didn’t work out so well. As I was going past, Mother Goose straight up hissed at me. Like possessed by Satan hissed at me. It was creepy. As soon as I was clear of the goose I turned on the jets to get out of there. I didn’t see them on the way back….hopefully never again. Geese are ornery little creatures.
