Workouts Are Back!!!!!
Glad I took the mental day yesterday. I wasn’t in a good mind set and the day off was much needed. I was feeling much better today. Still a little overwhelmed with everything that is going on right now and all of the what ifs but I can’t do much about that. I’ve done and will continue to do everything that I can to be prepared and keep my family, myself and others safe.
Today was the first workout of my next batch of training. I’m not really training for anything specific at this point but just trying to get stronger and faster. Tonight was a good sign. I did a 15 minute warm up followed by 6 three minute max efforts with three minute cool downs between them. I had a couple of the three minute laps that were at under a 6 minute mile pace. That is coo coo for me.
The run felt good. I was happy to get back out tonight. The world is still going nuts but running keeps me sane. It is the constant in my life that I can control. It truly lets me escape from everything….most of the time. I’m happy to be a runner. I love it.
