Hi.

Welcome to my blog. My moto is live your dreams and love your journey. This is a place where I remind myself of how lucky I am to be on Earth. Enjoy your time!

Team Effort

Training can be tough. Physically, menatally and also for the ones around you. Many hours per week are spent running for me. So far this year I have spent over 40 hours running. I have a wife and two small kids which is a full time job in itself. That is in addition to my day job which is very time demanding. This ultimately leaves me with little time and so I have to get creative with my schedule.

Most of my runs are done late at night after my family has gone to bed but long run days are the exception. I try to get up extra early so I can get in a couple hours before everyone wakes up but that still leaves a few hours of time where my wife has to handle things on her own. For those who have kids you know, but for those who don’t…..it isn’t easy handling two small humans on your own for any amount of time.

I am extremely lucky to have a super supportive family who put up with my crap and my competitive obsessions. Once I am committed to something I am relentless in its pursuit. Right now in my life that is running.

As the kids are getting older I am starting to take them on the trails for hikes in hopes that they too will fall in love with the outdoors like I did. Who knows, maybe one day they will strive to run ultras like me. Only time will tell. For now I am thankful for them and the support that I have. Without them I am lost.
