Keep on Movin’
Our shelter in place got extended another month today. Kinda hard to believe that we have been basically locked inside for almost 2 months now. All you can do is follow the process and wait for things to get back to normal. I understand the why but it doesn’t make the how any easier. I haven’t had a good ole’ taqueria style burrito in 2 months. That is unheard of for me. I typically eat one every couple of days. I’ve been doing my best to make Mexican food at home but it just isn’t the same.
I am lucky to still be working from home but even with work the days roll together and I sometimes question what day it is. The only thing that keeps me on track is my running schedule. I am grateful that I have been able to keep that one constant in my life. It keeps me sane.
I must admit I didn’t really feel like going out for a run today but I felt pretty good after about mile 3 or so. It was a pretty day. The weather said it was 86°F when I went out but it didn’t feel that hot. That is probably in part because most of the trail I run is covered with shade and next to water. I think both of those factors make it feel much cooler that it actually is.
Overall the run was good. I am happy to be running earlier in the days so I can save my nights for getting other things done. Here are a couple other pictures from today.
Oh yeah, I lost a toe nail today. My big one. The one that made me think of this name in the first place. Yeah, It’s been with me for that long. I was a little sad to see it go today. The good thing is that 3 of my 10 toes are still black so I don’t have to stop the blog or change the name!
Pictures or it didn’t happen!!!
