Back at it
I was hoping to get out on the trails today but work got in the way. It’s crazy how much I have to do while things are so slow. I will say that I am happy to be working in these tough times. Anyway, we are over a week into semi isolation and I’m getting used to it. The kids are nuts but their my kids and I love them so I’ll get through it.
It’s been over a week since we went shopping so we are getting a little slim on food choices. Tonight’s fuel was corn dogs, tater tots and broccoli. I have to admit, it tasted awesome. It probably wasn’t the best for me but we are eating what we have.
After a short and easy run week last week I was back at it today. The coach had me go 8 miles. I was a little nervous about it since I hadn’t run that far in awhile. I felt good though. I went into the run telling myself I was going to take it super easy. I did for the first few but I picked it up towards the end. Everything felt good. I ran the corse the opposite way I normally do to switch things up a bit. It is crazy how different a run feels when you do it backwards. Overall, great run, felt good, more social distancing.
